Electrocardiograms (ECGs)

To request EGCs from the CHPS Cardiovascular Core, an eCHPS application must be submitted via eResearch. CHPS and IRB final approval are needed prior to use of the Core. A budget must also be prepared/approved through Clinical Trials Financial Management.

ECGs will be provided by our Core during normal business hours Monday through Friday only. Investigators will have to make arrangements on their own for after hours tests.

CHPS can perform ECGs on any age subject. However, services for adult subjects must be approved the CHPS Cardiovascular Core Director, Dr. Meryl Cohen, MD. For studies requiring primarily adult services or a large volume of adult participants, investigators can either identify an adult Cardiologist to join the research team or work with the research facilitator at the Penn CHPS program for subjects over 21 years to be seen by an adult practitioner.
